The Hidalgo Phoenix Spezial saddle has higher thigh blocks on the external flap. They provide excellent security without locking the rider into a position. The flaps are padded and covered in nappa leather, with lovely decorative stitching.

 

This saddle comes with a “ladies’ seat” which makes the seat 2 cm wider, and is an extra comfortable option if you have problems with chafing!

 

Just like all Hidalgo leather tree saddles, the Phoenix is also a very comfortable and well-made saddle. It is suitable for all horses, including those with very high withers.

A leather tree is supportive yet flexible and will adapt to the horse’s back along its entire length.

The saddle doesn’t collapse on the spine due to the layered rawhide tree construction, and a stirrup bar element which provides support and maintains the gullet.

The detachable panels offer an excellent fit for different conformations and back profiles, or when the horse changes shape. All Hidalgo leather tree saddles become a close-contact custom fit while maintaining the ability to adjust, all you need to do is ride in it!
