A Best Seller! The Hidalgo Sanlucar Spezial is a stunning working equitation saddle with a super soft and comfortable seat, dubbed “the couch”. The external fixed knee blocks offer a very secure seat and good grip in the saddle. The saddle has an English-style pommel so it will not get in your way when in a light seat or popping over a jump.

 

Just like all Hidalgo saddles, the Sanlucar can also be used on super high withers and offers excellent freedom for the horse’s shoulders.

This is a perfect saddle for a larger rider with a 20” seat size, yet it’s still extremely lightweight like all Hidalgo saddles.

The Spanish cantle is removable if you prefer an "English look", it will also give even more room in the seat if required.

A leather tree is supportive yet flexible and will adapt to the horse’s back along its entire length.

The saddle doesn’t collapse on the spine due to the layered rawhide tree construction, and a stirrup bar element which provides support and maintains the gullet.

The detachable panels offer an excellent fit for different conformations and back profiles, or when the horse changes shape. All Hidalgo leather tree saddles become a close-contact custom fit while maintaining the ability to adjust, all you need to do is ride in it!
