EVA Pad Firm – 6 mm
 
A firmer and more durable pad for added protection Flex EVA Pad Firm is a firmer version of the EVA Pad Soft.
 
It offers the same adaptive behaviour and fit-enhancing effect, but with improved durability and more effective protection, particularly in the sole area.
 
In use, EVA Pad Firm adapts in a controlled manner inside the boot: the material compresses under the hoof and settles into the tread pattern of the boot’s inner sole, while filling the areas where support and protection are needed.
 
The firmer structure retains its shape better than the Soft version and withstands use on more demanding terrain as well as longer periods of use.
 
The pad also acts as a sealing element between the hoof and the boot, improving overall fit and helping to keep both the hoof and the pad securely in place during use.
 
When is EVA Pad Firm a good choice?
EVA Pad Firm is well suited for horses and ponies that require additional sole protection on uneven or rough terrain but do not need the thickness of the Relief pad.
 
It is a versatile choice for active use, covering a wide range from small ponies to large horses.
 
Thanks to its 6 mm thickness, the pad can also be used to fine-tune boot fit, for example when the hoof is between sizes, the hoof shape differs slightly from the boot sole, or the horse is in a transition or rehabilitation phase.
 
Use and important notes:
EVA Pad Firm also requires careful, regular hoof maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Routine maintenance trimming and removal of sharp edges improve pad fit, function, and lifespan.
 
When fitting boots with pads, always ensure that the toe of the hoof is fully seated into the toe of the boot. During use, the pad may shift forward into the toe area; if excess material accumulates at the toe, it should be trimmed away so it does not interfere with the natural breakover point.

Compatibility and sizing
EVA Pad Firm is recommended for use in pony and horse sizes FlexPony 80–105 and horse sizes 110–150. The pad is available for both Classic and Wide models. Cutting templates are included in the package, allowing the pad to be precisely trimmed to match the correct boot size.
